HIS STORY…


The true inspiration for The African Touch Expeditions dates back to when Karuma Kimani was working at the charming Sirocco House in Naivasha, where he was born and grew up. At a young age, he started doing guided safaris for the Douglas-Hamilton’s, which strengthened his joy and appreciation of the African continent. It was these intertwined events that planted a seed that would blossom into him becoming a world- class overlanding tour operator entrepreneur and running his own safaris.  With an added passion for wildlife photography and owning a beautiful safari lodge and camp which he built and set-up in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley.

"Kenya to Namibia - what an adventure! We travelled through 6 different counties and saw  so much variety as we moved from country to  country. I loved the small country villages and the people with their "shops" and food stalls.

But best of all for me were the National Parks and the many game drives. We saw a great variety of animals, and so many elephants - always my favourites. Karuma is a great guide, driver and story teller, and I would recommend travelling with "African Touch".
